چکیده
Organized by: ROBOT 2013: FIRST IBERIAN ROBOTICS CONFERENCE will follow the three biannual Workshops that started in Zaragoza (2007), and continued in Barcelona (2009) and Sevilla (2011). These previous and successful events, both from the viewpoint of their scientific and technical quality, and for the important number of attending delegates, have motivated in organizing ROBOT 2013 initiative. ROBOT 2013's main goal is to continue the precedent efforts in showing the robotic research and development of new applications. While first events were focused on the Spanish activity, in this edition the core is extended to the Iberian Peninsula. ROBOT 2013 will be an excellent forum for mutual exchange of knowledge among industry and academia and will foster a better co‐operation to face the challenges posed by Horizon 2020. Flexible Foot/Ankle Based on PKM with Force/Torque Sensor for Humanoid Robot
This paper describes the development of a novel humanoid robot foot/ankle based on an orientation Parallel Kinematic Mechanism for intelligent and flexible control. With three identical Universal-Prismatic-Spherical prismatic-actuated limbs and a central Universal-Revolute passive limb, the PKM can perform three degrees of freedom rotation motions. In order to enable the humanoid robot safely t...
متن کاملA Q-learning Based Continuous Tuning of Fuzzy Wall Tracking
A simple easy to implement algorithm is proposed to address wall tracking task of an autonomous robot. The robot should navigate in unknown environments, find the nearest wall, and track it solely based on locally sensed data. The proposed method benefits from coupling fuzzy logic and Q-learning to meet requirements of autonomous navigations. Fuzzy if-then rules provide a reliable decision maki...
متن کاملA novel method for learning policies from variable constraint data
Many everyday human skills can be framed in terms of performing some task subject to constraints imposed by the environment. Constraints are usually unobservable and frequently change between contexts. In this paper, we present a novel approach for learning (unconstrained) control policies from movement data, where observations come from movements under different constraints. As a key ingredien...
متن کاملA Model of Acquisition of Discrete Bimanual Coordination Skill for a Humanoid Robot
There are several motivations for adapting the concepts of bimanual coordination originating in human motor control to humanoid robotics. Amongst the most important reasons we can highlight are the following: 1) guarantee adequate performance of humanoids in dual-arm tasks; 2) make their movements more effective and natural-looking for humans; and 3) provide the basis for more complex forms of ...
متن کاملA Unified Framework for Whole-Body Humanoid Robot Control with Multiple Constraints and Contacts
Physical interactivity is a major challenge in humanoid robotics. To allow robots to operate in human environments there is a pressing need for the development of control architectures that provide the advanced capabilities and interactive skills needed to effectively interact with the environment and/or the human partner while performing useful manipulation and locomotion tasks. Such architect...
